Terms of Use

Using the SafeSEL website and resources

Last updated: August 26, 2026.

By using this website or purchasing a SafeSEL product, you agree to these terms. SafeSEL is operated by Sophia, a psychologist, psychotherapist and sexologist who reviews SafeSEL content and runs the SafeSEL shop.

Educational purpose

SafeSEL articles, downloads and training materials provide general educational and psychoeducational information. They do not constitute diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical advice, crisis support or a substitute for individualized professional care. Facilitators and other adult users are responsible for adapting materials to their setting, participants, local safeguarding procedures and professional scope.

Emergencies and safety

Do not use SafeSEL as an emergency service. If a child or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.

Purchases and merchant of record

Digital products displayed in the SafeSEL website shop—including printable resources, professional therapist tools, bundles and training kits—are sold directly through Paddle checkout. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and processes payment, applicable taxes, receipts and related transaction data. Paddle's checkout terms and privacy information are presented during purchase. Access to purchased files is provided after successful payment and transaction verification.

Some SafeSEL products have also been sold separately through Etsy. An order placed on Etsy remains governed by the applicable Etsy listing, Etsy checkout terms and SafeSEL Etsy shop policies; it is separate from a website order processed by Paddle.

Digital products and delivery

Products are digital downloads; no physical item is shipped. Buyers are responsible for using a compatible device and software and for downloading and securely storing their files. If access fails or a file is defective, follow the Refund Policy and contact SafeSEL for support.

License and intellectual property

Unless a product states otherwise, a purchase grants one named buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials in that buyer's own professional, educational or home practice. A facilitator may present a purchased workshop, charge participants to attend a live workshop personally delivered by that facilitator, and provide the included participant handouts to attendees in that facilitated session.

Parent & Caregiver Handouts exception: The named purchaser of the SafeSEL Complete SEL Toolkit for Ages 7–12 may print or digitally share individual Parent & Caregiver Handouts with the parents or caregivers of children the purchaser personally teaches, counsels or supports. This permission applies only to individual handouts from that category. It does not permit sharing the complete Parent & Caregiver Handouts PDF, the complete toolkit or bundle, editable or source files, or access and download links.

A purchase does not grant a school-wide, organization-wide, resale, sublicensing or redistribution license. Files may not be resold, shared publicly, uploaded to shared repositories, distributed to other professionals, used to create competing products or presented as the buyer's own work. All other rights remain with SafeSEL.

Pricing, taxes and refunds

The price and currency displayed at checkout apply. Paddle may calculate and collect taxes based on the buyer's location. Requests involving website purchases are handled under the Refund Policy and applicable consumer law. Separate Etsy purchases remain subject to the policies displayed on Etsy.

Accuracy and availability

SafeSEL aims to keep information useful and accurate, but educational and psychological knowledge develops and individual needs differ. Content may be corrected, updated or removed. The website and downloads may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

Responsible use and limitation

Do not use SafeSEL resources to shame, diagnose or coerce a child. To the extent permitted by law, SafeSEL is not responsible for outcomes caused by using educational material without appropriate judgment, supervision, safeguarding or professional assessment. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be limited.

Privacy and contact

Read the Privacy Policy. Questions about a SafeSEL website purchase can be sent to support@safeselresources.com. Questions about a separate Etsy order should be sent through the SafeSEL Etsy shop.
